Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and Wild Path Freedom LLC, a Montana limited liability company located in Whitefish, Montana. By using this site or submitting the waiting list form, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
What this site currently is
Smokey Ledger is in pre release. This site describes a product under development and collects expressions of interest. Descriptions of features on this site are statements of intent, not promises of what will ship. Features may change, be delayed, or be dropped, and we may decide not to release the product at all.
Joining the waiting list does not create a contract to deliver software, does not reserve a license, and does not guarantee a price, a free version, or early access.
What you agree to
- Give accurate information when you fill out the form, including a real email address you control.
- Do not submit anyone else's personal information.
- Do not submit information you are not permitted to disclose, including sensitive, classified or restricted agency material.
- Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape or gain unauthorized access to this site.
- Do not use this site for anything unlawful.
Not an official record system
This is the part worth reading twice. Smokey Ledger is a personal record keeping tool. It is not a federal payroll system, not a system of record for any agency, and not a substitute for the crew time reports, timesheets or entries your agency requires.
- You remain responsible for submitting your official time through your agency's required process and by its deadlines.
- Nothing here constitutes legal, tax, payroll or human resources advice.
- We do not determine, calculate, guarantee or influence your pay. Pay decisions are made by your agency.
- Whether your agency permits you to photograph or store copies of a given document is between you and your agency. Follow your agency's policy on records, personally owned devices and information handling.
Your content stays yours
Anything you enter, upload or store remains your property. We claim no ownership of your records. We take a limited permission to store, process, back up and display your content solely to operate the service for you, and for no other purpose.
Feedback is treated differently. If you send us a suggestion or an idea for the product, we may use it to improve Smokey Ledger without owing you compensation or attribution. We are asking for your feedback precisely because we intend to act on it.
Our content
The name Smokey Ledger, the design of this site, and its text and graphics belong to Wild Path Freedom LLC. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without permission. Linking to this page is always fine.

By joining the waiting list you are asking us to email you about Smokey Ledger. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message we send.
No warranty
This site is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any described feature will be delivered. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wild Path Freedom LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost pay, lost data, lost profits or lost opportunity, arising out of your use of this site. Because nothing has been sold to you at this stage, our total liability relating to this site is limited to one hundred United States dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Flathead County, Montana, and both of us consent to that venue.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product develops. When Smokey Ledger launches as a paid product, a separate subscriber agreement will govern that relationship. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
